Dean L. Britton

Dean was the Managing Principal of Allegiance Partners, a private real estate investment firm headquartered in New York. Mr. Britton was the CFO of Allegiance's equity spin-off, Broadway Real Estate Partners, a Class A office investor. In April of 2005, Mr. Britton returned to Allegiance's structured finance and investment management business to focus, with an institutional investor base, on ground lease acquisitions. Prior to founding Allegiance, Mr. Britton had been Chief Operating Officer of Deutsche Bank's CMBS lending unit, a joint venture with the bank known as TransAtlantic. He joined Deutsche from Nomura Securities, where he was responsible for developing new securitization products.
Mr. Britton began his career at MONY, focusing on debt and equity originations in the late 1980's, and workouts and asset management in the early 1990's. In 1992, he joined Fitch as one of the early senior members of the CMBS team, where he was integral to the development of conduit underwriting and property analysis methodology. In 1995, he became head of real estate underwriting and analysis for BlackRock's first Real Estate Opportunity Fund, BlackRock Capital Finance, the predecessor of Fortress.
Mr. Britton has a B.A. from Brown University, completed graduate work in Real Estate at University of Wisconsin, and is an Adjunct Professor at NYU's Masters in Real Estate Finance Program.
